Loungewear – Don’t let your comfort steal the style

Loungewear – Don’t let your comfort steal the style

Between "inside" and "outside," loungewear occupies a transitional space. Chances are, you've been donning a sweatshirt-and-sweatpant set like this for the better part of the last two years. In case your old favorites are looking a little shabby, we've talked to some stylish women to find out what they like to wear around the house (and out).

During a pandemic, loungewear has never made more sense than it does now. Before leaving the house, one of my primary concerns was whether or not my clothes were stylish and upbeat while also being elegant and comfortable. Because, after all, I wouldn't be able to keep up with household chores, work, and the gym if I had to constantly change my clothes throughout the day. Because of this need, I was able to rediscover my sense of style once again. Then why not you?

Loungewear style: what is it?

Vogue Hong Kong's publisher described this clothing line as "A contentious category, where lines are frequently blurred as to what is or isn't socially acceptable to wear outside the house.". 'Juicy Couture,' a company founded in 1995 by Nash-Taylor and Skaist-Levy, used a definition very similar to this one. Both lines have the same goal; to provide comfortable clothing, well-fitting, and bursting with color.

Loungewear versatility:

When You're Relaxing at Home

Make sure that the fabric you choose for loungewear is breathable and moves with you throughout the day when you're relaxing at home with a book or baking something new.

Pick breathable and lightweight fabrics for hot weather.

Knits:

Comfortable, quick to sew, and light in weight, cotton and spandex blends make excellent summer knits.

Because of its lightweight, the slub jersey is a popular summer garment choice.

Toss on a tissue jersey or a rayon and bamboo blend for a comfortable, airy top.

Perhaps the most traditional option is to go with a sweatshirt fleece knit. Comfortable, simple to make, and ideal for matching sets, this garment is a winner. Sewing instructions are included.

Cardigans made from sweater knits are excellent for layering. Here's a sewing tutorial for them.

The warmth and coziness of a boiled wool housecoat are unbeatable.

Wovens

If you're looking for loungewear for the summer months, the eyelet is an excellent choice. If you have to leave the house quickly, you'll still look presentable in it.

When it comes to breezy culottes or dresses, Tencel is ideal because of how cool it feels to the touch. Shorts or joggers made of Tencel twill are fantastic.

Despite its reputation as a summertime fabric, linen can be used to keep you warm if the need arises. Linen lounge pants or a day robe can be used as an additional layer.

Cotton-wool or cotton-wool-wool blends can be worn as loungewear. Order a swatch and rub it on your skin to make sure it doesn't irritate your skin or cause any allergic reactions.

For a workout.

Clothing that is comfortable enough to wear both before and after a workout is a good idea if that is something you do. Just keep in mind that Spandex is your friend in this situation.

For sleep:

Think about the sheets you love the most. You can sew a garment out of your favorite sheets! There is a good chance you'll enjoy sleeping in it as well.

Choose your fibers carefully, as the weather can have a significant impact on your sleep. Consider cool-weather fabrics when shopping for clothing.

How to look stunning in loungewear sets?

If your event is taking place during the day and you'd like to wear something more refined and understated, go with a pair of thin high heels or pumps in a single color, preferably the same shade. Doing so will draw your attention away from your feet and accessories and toward your clothing. Those who prefer flashier outfits or events that take place at night should feel free to rock spikes, sparkles, or mooring shoes. Don't be afraid to experiment with different pairings.

In particular, if the event requires me to stand for an extended period or takes place in a rural setting, we would recommend sneakers. It's also a great choice if you're going to a park or a more informal gathering at a friend's house. Also, if you're planning on staying in, I recommend investing in a comfy pair of slippers.

Here's few styles to loungewear styling:

·       Cashmere set: The set includes a cashmere robe and slippers.

What's the most convenient way to dress in your pajamas? Make dressing a breeze by purchasing a coordinated set. Joggers and a sweatshirt or hoodie can be paired with joggers, or a hoodie and joggers. A jacket and a pair of sneakers are both acceptable ways to accessorize your outfit. Perfect for a brisk stroll along the sand or a trip to the supermarket.

·       Joggers for the couch

If you're looking for loungewear, jogging bottoms are an absolute must-have. Take a stand! You deserve better than a pair of stiff jeans and a pair of uncomfortable pants!

A good pair of joggers can be worn both at home and while running errands, making them ideal for both. For a casual and practical look, wear some sneakers. You'll be glad you did it later when your legs thank you!

·       Sweaters for lounging around in.

Whether you're lounging around at home or out and about, your loungewear can easily transition into your everyday attire. A few cozy sweaters and knits are essential to your wardrobe, which both look and feel great.

Cashmere sweaters can be worn as loungewear, but they're also versatile enough to be paired with a variety of other items in your wardrobe. Keep an eye out for cozy crew necks or sweatshirts that can be dressed up or down easily.

Finally,

There is a lot more to loungewear sets. Because it’s the ultimate comfy and stylish dressing ever. All you need to do is treat yourself with few new sets. And you are going to love them indeed.
